Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Turnel ("we", "us") about your use of the Turnel app. By downloading or using the app you accept them; if you do not agree, please do not use the app. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies; where it and these terms differ for the licensed application, Apple's applies.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Turnel on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store Usage Rules allow. The episodes, narration, transcripts, sounds, music and artwork are licensed, not sold, and remain ours or our licensors'.
3. Free listening and membership
You can browse the catalogue without an account. With a free account you can play every trailer, every Start here episode, the first chapter of every other episode, and all ambient sounds. A Turnel membership unlocks every chapter of every episode, with transcripts, sleep music and downloads for offline listening.
4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal
The membership is an auto-renewing subscription, yearly or monthly. The yearly plan may include a free trial for eligible new subscribers; the App Store decides eligibility and shows the trial length, price and terms before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews for the same period at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that.
5. Managing and cancelling
Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Turnel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership stays until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel before a free trial ends and you are not charged.
6. Downloads
Downloads are for listening in the app while you are a member. They play offline for up to 30 days after the app last confirmed your membership, and are removed when you sign out. Episodes you have played to the end are removed automatically unless you turn that off under You, Downloads.
7. Narration
Narration on Turnel is produced with synthetic voices. No recording of a real person is used.
8. Not medical advice
Turnel is a relaxation and sleep companion. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. The app is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. If you have a sleep disorder or a health concern, please see a qualified professional.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; using the app after an update means you accept the new version. Questions: support@turnel.app.
